What do employees want? What do manager's
want from their employees? Are they one and the same or are they in
conflict? How can a company be successful if the employees and managers
are not on the same page? Not effectively communicating to each other?
This dilemma is happening in many, if not all companies, at various
levels of the organization. To prove this theory, an investigation
was conducted with the following statistics:
Employee
Statistics
Despite years managing hundreds of people in various leadership roles,
this data validated my suspicions. But I wanted to be absolutely sure, so
I went to my close friends and colleagues who work in a variety of
roles and sectors throughout the United States. I asked the question: "On
a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being the highest), how inspired or productive
are you? Or how about the people you manage or the people you work
with?" Attached
are their responses with many edited due to length.
How
Inspired are you?
My uncle Tony (what a stretch, a Sicilian like me has an uncle named Tony)
once told me "People do not leave companies, they leave bosses" and since
he is older than Marcus Buckingham, who has also quoted this, Tony
gets the credit here. Statistics show that 80% of the employees that
leave their company do so because of their immediate supervisor.
"Career,
Culture, Choices" is a 90-minute motivational and interactive
presentation developed to encourage employees to commit or recommit
to consistently delivering superior service and being a positive
influence in and out of work.
I then follow it up with a 1-day workshop for leaders within
the organization entitled,
"Leadership and Management" teaches
managers various techniques and models to inspire premier quality
and productivity amongst their teams.
Use the following "Return on Investment (ROI)" calculator
to see if my services would be a prudent investment in your people.
Keep in mind that this is based on an ROI for one person. Your number
is then multiplied exponentially based on how many people attend the
workshop and how many each of them has for reports…
Please note that this is an Excel Spreadsheet and your Ecomputer may
want confirmation upon opening that this is a suitable document.
