own life for the survival of a family member, yet we lead our daily
life too often as if we take our family for granted.”
I am usually a big fan of Rick Reilly who used to write for
Sports Illustrated and now writes for ESPN. But his take on Tiger Woods and his 2:30am car
accident is wrong and out of line. (Click Here) to read
Reilly’s comments on what Tiger should do and I will not rehash any of this
story as unless you have been out of this planet the last week, if you are
reading this space, you have heard the story.
Our society is infatuated with the lifestyles of the rich
and famous but sadly too many people love to watch them fall down. The main reason is when they see others that
have what they do not (fame or fortune) and encounter problems or screw up, it
makes them feel better about their own existence. Sad but true.Even worse is how so many love to build up heroes just to try to bring
them down. Remember the name Susan
Boyle? She was the woman on Britain’s Got
Talent that shocked the world with her singing only to be tabloid and TV show
banter.
Now, the world’s most famous athlete with one of the best
and squeaky clean images has some issues in his personal life. Repeat – his personal life which should be
left to him and his family.Rumors,
theories and stories are flying everywhere and no matter what Tiger chooses, it
will not make this go away nor have him escape the wrath of the media, critics
or tabloids. This story has nothing to
do with golf nor is he an elected official.Tiger Woods is an entertainer and if he and his wife are having marital
problems or a dispute, unless a law was broken, everyone needs to back off;
even if his wife was so upset she may have scratched his face and took a 2-iron
to his car. If Tiger does not want to
press charges, that is his Choice and it is the right one.
The lesson here is that your family is your own business and
should be kept in your house. If there
is domestic abuse on either side, of course that needs to be addressed but if
Tiger gave into temptation and his wife found out about it and they had a
battle, this is how real life works.I
am not saying it is right but show me people without emotion and I will show
you people who do not give a crap about anything or anyone in life except themselves.I hope the Woods can work all this out,
especially for the sake of their children.
Family must become Tiger
Woods’ most important thing right now just like our opening quote I found by
some guy named Paul Pearshall.Whatever
happens, it is none of our business – who are we to judge?
